Unisolar are the best known manufacturer of modern 'thin-film' solar panels. They use a very thin layer of vacuum-deposited amorphous silicon to create the solar cell, rather than the big clunky chunks of silicon crystal found in older panels.
The US 64 is a tough, aluminium-framed solar panel based on this amorphous silicon technology, and is one of our best-selling panels. 'Thin-film' solar panels such as these are more efficient at low light levels than standard crystalline panels - an important feature in the depths of a British winter! The power output is guaranteed to be within 80% of its rated output for 20 years, so this panel is a great investment.
The price is for a pack of two solar panels. Each panel has a nominal voltage of 12V, so for 24V systems you need to wire them in series.
