Pack of 2 Unisolar PVL68 adhesive-backed solar panels

Unisolar are the best known manufacturer of modern 'thin-film' solar panels. They use a very thin layer of vacuum-deposited amorphous silicon to create the solar cell, rather than the big clunky chunks of silicon crystal found in older panels. The amorphous silicon cells are more efficient in low level light conditions than traditional crystalline panels, so in the middle of winter you get more power from a 68 watt unisolar panel than you do from a 68 watt conventional crystalline panel.

The flexible, adhesive-backed PVL68 is a beautiful panel, and by far the most elegant power solution we have come across for narrowboats and caravans. Simply drill holes for the wires, peel off the backing, and stick down and enjoy the free power of the sun!

These panels can also be used on metal 'standing-seam' roofs to provide power to buildings - either in off-grid environments, or grid-connected through a suitable inverter. The incredibly low profile and discreet colour mean that you will hardly even notice they are there. Yet they will churn out power for years with no maintenance at all. A superb bit of kit.

The price is for a pack of two solar panels. Each panel has a nominal voltage of 12V, so for 24V systems you need to wire them in series.

Single Unisolar PVL68 flexible solar panels are available from our parent company, Midsummer Energy.
