Vertical axis turbines don't produce as much power as their horizontal axis counterparts, but their simplicity makes them exceptionally reliable.
It would be hard to find a renewable power source that is more simple than a Forgen 500 - a single set of bearings, curved vanes to harness the wind's power, and magnets passing over resin-encased coils to generate electricity.
This unit is ideal for low-power, remote, automated systems, particularly in applications where solar power isn't suitable. Use it where dependability is paramount.
This version is fitted with a mounting plate for attaching to the side of a mast or wall. A pole-top mounting version is also available.
